At the WTG held in Bangkok in 2007 the following athletes won medals:

  • Kevin Vickers – Gold for Squash & Silver for Ball Throw

  • Koenie Pretorius – Gold for 50m Freestyle & Backstroke (two World Records)

  • Edward Ormond – Silver for Squash

  • Philile Sithole – Silver for Ball Throw & Bronze for Long Jump

  • Daniel Matsoso – Bronze for Road Run, 800m, 1500m & Ten Pin Bowling

  • Nkanyesi Biyela – Silver for Race Walk, Bronze for Road Race & Ten Pin Bowling

  • Stephan van den Berg – Bronze for Ball Throw

  • Mario Skaffer – Silver for 400m freestyle

  • Abdul Kathrada – Silver for Road Race

  • Gerhard van Dyk – Silver for 20km Cycling

  • Heilie Uys – Gold for Golf and Discuss & Silver for Shot Put

All our athletes did well and some of them were placed in the top ten or just out of the medal standings.
